Hello CBD lovers! As we end our first week’s dive into the beginner learnings of CBD, we at 5th World CBD Brands thought it would be wise to take a day to answer some of the most common questions we receive from new users looking to try CBD for the first time. Take your time with these, and try to find some answers to questions you still hold yourself! Next week, we will be taking a closer look at building and maintaining a balanced daily CBD schedule. Some Common CBD Question
1. What will I feel when I take CBD?
Many factors will determine the results you will experience when trying CBD such as genetics, diet, exercise, stress levels, environment and lifestyle choices. For some, the effects will be immediate and dramatic, while for others it may be far more subtle. CBD is more about what you don’t feel any longer, rather than what you do feel. People who suffer from chronic conditions like anxiety, mood disorders, chronic pain, insomnia and more take CBD to reduce these feelings and get back to a state of balance. CBD may not necessarily cure underlying ailments, but it can definitely help ease symptoms to make them more bearable and improve your overall quality of life.
2. Can I overdose on CBD?
There has never been a reported lethal or dangerous dose of CBD. Even higher doses of up to 1500 mg per day have been well tolerated by humans without harming the body. However, as is the case with any natural product, it is important to speak with your doctor prior to beginning any regular use.
3. Is CBD addictive?
No. Not at all. CBD is non-addictive and completely safe to consume. It will not cause withdrawal effects for missed doses or ceasing usage. There is no need to fear.
4. Does CBD have any side effects?
Side effects from CBD are not common, but some individuals who take high doses have experienced conditions such as lightheadedness, dry mouth, upset stomach, or sedation. If you experience any unpleasant side effects like these, try decreasing your dosage, or try adding the CBD oil to your food or a beverage. When introducing any new supplement to your diet, it’s always best to start with a low dose and gradually increase it until you find an optimal dose that is effective for your particular needs.
5. Is CBD safe for my pet?
Yes! Just like humans, all animals have the organs needed to break down CBD and utilize it for health benefits in the body. CBD has been used as a natural way for pet owners to help aging pets, those with physical, mental, or behavioral conditions, and as a way to promote good overall health. Please remember keep in mind that if you do give your pet CBD oil using tinctures, it’s always best to stick with “natural” flavor as oils with flavoring may be toxic to some dogs.
6. Why is CBD so expensive?
Cultivating organically grown CBD in the United States is a complicated process which requires costly equipment and a high level of expertise to be performed successfully. If you are seeking premium quality CBD that has been methodologically extracted by a well-reputed manufacturing firm and has been 3rd party tested, you should anticipate a higher priced but superior quality product. Consuming only high quality, natural and healthy products ensures you never compromise on your health and that of your loved ones. Purchasing high quality CBD oil may not be cheap, but think of it as investing in your health and well-being.
7. What is hemp?
Hemp is a strain of the cannabis plant which is naturally high in CBD and low in THC. CBD is desirable for those interested in taking advantage of the health and medicinal benefits of cannabis, but do not want to experience the psychoactive “high” that THC produces. It’s important to note that hemp classified as “Industrial Hemp” is grown for its fibers and does not contain relevant amounts of CBD that one needs to heal.
8. What is the “entourage effect”?
The cannabis plant contains over 113 active cannabinoids, many of which contain terpenes with anti-inflammatory properties, and are regarded as increasing the efficacy of the cannabinoids overall. Besides CBD, some of the other cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG, have been found to have symptom alleviating health problems. When consumed together, the many cannabinoids and other natural compounds found in the cannabis plant produce what is known as an “entourage effect”. This is the synergistic relationship between the compounds and has been shown to increase the healing properties of one another over just taking them individually or separately.
